The fourth edition of the official Web Kentei literacy guidebook is coming out
The literacy edition of the official guidebook for the "Web Kentei," which has been held since autumn 2007, Web no Shigotoryoku ga Agaru Standard Guidebook 1: Web Literacy, 4th Edition, is coming out. I have been involved in parts of it since the launch, and apparently it is already the fourth edition.
It is currently available for preorder, and according to Amazon the release date is February 13. I am supposed to receive a sample copy, so I will write about the contents again once it arrives.
Since it started in 2007, that means it was already 16 to 17 years ago. Enough time has passed that people who took it as new graduates back then are probably solidly middle-aged now. It might even be possible that the children of people who took it back then are taking the exam now.
Because this is about "literacy," each individual topic does not go extremely deep, but it is a perfect book for people who are going to be responsible for the Web at a company or who are planning to join a company that builds websites. I think it is worth reading even if you do not take the exam.
