Day three of the Kinosaki Onsen retreat: Clear skies and results from Vision Pro Ideathon 100

The town of Kinosaki under clear skies

The third day was sunny. I woke up very early in the morning, and even after going back to sleep, I was up around 7. Breakfast was still affected by the previous day's sukiyaki, and I did not feel like eating much, so I skipped it. Some people had udon.

Instead of eating breakfast, I went for a morning bath. There were still several baths I had not visited on this trip, and one of them was Goshono-yu. Alongside Ichino-yu, it is one of the most popular baths, and now that Satono-yu in front of the station has closed, it may be number one in terms of the grandeur of the building.

Goshono-yu has an open-air bath inside, with water flowing like a waterfall. In reality, the waterfall area and the bath area are separate, so hot spring water is not exactly flowing down as a waterfall. Still, the hot water flows down through about three terraced levels, like rice terraces. The upper bath is the hottest, and the lower bath is slightly cooler.

At Goshono-yu, I spent time massaging my knees and lower back by myself. By the third day, it may not have been only the effect of the hot springs, but my knee had improved quite a bit. When I arrived, I had been using a cane slightly, but by then it was almost unnecessary.

I walked around town and bought souvenirs. This was my third visit to Kinosaki Onsen, but there are still many spots I have not visited. I went around to several places I had missed before and treated it as rehabilitation for my knee. After checkout, until the train departure time, I rode a rental bicycle and bought food.

Results from Vision Pro Ideathon 100

One of the things I had decided to do this time was "Vision Pro Ideathon 100." The idea was to come up with 100 app ideas for Vision Pro. The condition was that they had to be apps I could realistically make myself, so wildly unrealistic ideas or ideas requiring a great deal of study were not included. If anything were allowed, listing 100 ideas would have been fairly easy, but when narrowing it to what I can build now, ideas surprisingly did not come out that easily.

By the third day, I had come up with 25 app ideas. They are all things I should be able to implement myself, though many of them are probably uninteresting, so they need further review. Still, I plan to choose one from among them and actually build it.

Honestly, I thought I would be able to generate more ideas, but it did not turn out that way. What I gained was that I noticed several perspectives for deriving ideas. I plan to write about those in future entries.
