A Nice Bonus for the Return of Web Design Trends

In Web Design Trends sessions, in addition to distributing the slides after the event, we have long allowed attendees to quote and use the trends for production work presentations or internal study sessions. So this time, I will write about that participation bonus.
When presenting to clients at work, in internal meetings, or in internal study sessions, you may talk about background knowledge or recent tendencies.
> According to that person's research, this is the direction, but at our company...
Whether you take an approach in a context separate from the trend like that, or a flow like:
> The trend is this, but as a company our approach is...
if you say the trend part yourself, it may come across as "your opinion." If you frame it as "that person said this," a little objectivity enters the conversation, and it should become easier to build your own argument.
This bonus means you can use the materials for that kind of purpose.
About Materials Distributed to Design Trends Participants
If you use them for work, please follow these conditions.
- You must be someone who attended. It is also okay if it is someone in the same company, but please use good judgment around that.
- Please include credit as the source of quotation or reproduction.
- No separate permission for quotation or reproduction is required.
However, reselling the materials, selling only the materials as a product, or using them in consulting work as if they were your own research results is not allowed. If you are unsure, please ask.
Of course, using them for internal discussion is also okay. In fact, it is fine to use them as a starting point for internal debate. Please use them actively, even if the discussion is that Hara's analysis is wrong. However, because this event is offline-only, publishing the distributed materials in a public place is not allowed.
I also do on-site Web Design Trends sessions, so if you need one for a presentation or internal study session, please feel free to contact me.
I Have Also Seen Actual Proposal Materials
Incidentally, although I cannot name the specific company, at a Web Design Trends networking session I once saw part of an actual proposal deck that used the session materials. At that time, they had quoted part of the content as a recent tendency.
I am happy that this session can be useful to the world in that way, and if you use it, I would be even happier if you let me know at the next networking session or by DM. Part of why I do this activity is that I prioritize being useful to people whose faces I can see.
So, considering that this event includes the distributed materials, this bonus, the 110-minute main session, and even an accessibility meetup, I think it is an extremely good deal. Registration is currently open, so please join us.
