Vision Pro fit perfectly in that case

Vision Pro stored in the case

When you search for "Apple Vision Pro case," you see a lot of cases with that transparent lid. I tried storing Vision Pro in one of them, so here is a short review.

The case is named something like "Large Carrying Case for Apple Vision Pro," and it does not feel like it has any particularly distinctive product name. It arrived at my house before Vision Pro did.

There is no confusion about how to store it, because the recessed shapes inside the case guide you. There are other oval cases like this on Amazon, including ones made with fabric materials. Those may feel nicer to touch, but you cannot check what is inside.

This case is different. You can tell at a glance what is inside.

There probably are not many people who own so many XR devices that they cannot tell what is inside a case. I myself do not own that many XR devices either. So if a case of this shape is sitting at home, it is almost certainly Vision Pro.

The transparent part has no cushioning, so the fabric type is probably better in terms of impact resistance.

In other words, aside from its visual appeal, I have not yet found a clear advantage of this case. But while looking at it, one thing came to mind.

It looks like some kind of egg.

It is transparent, with the device visible inside, and somehow it looks like it is about to hatch. Looking at it that way made me feel like the idea for the application I should build might also be about to be born.
