One change that comes with becoming a freelancer is shifting from "having days off" to "making days off." If you pack your schedule with work, you can maximize your income, but that's not a sustainable approach for 20 years or more. I believe it's important to create a balance by taking breaks appropriately.
People who know difficult Kanji and can write beautifully seem to have become much less valuable than 40 years ago, thanks to Japanese text conversion and screen displays. However, their value is still very much present in some areas. I think this also applies to programming, which will evolve over a certain period of time, in a similar way.
I just had a thought. What if we use a business card design instead of a logo for our company website's OGP? The sizes of the image and a business card are pretty much the same. It would be really cool if it had contact details like a business card does. And if it's for a shop, including the opening hours and a map would be super helpful.
Even as times change, I'm once again feeling that the foundation of being a web developer is perhaps in diligently building one's own website. Conversely, when one is so busy that this becomes neglected, it might be time to rethink.
Introducing My New Section: "Links of Interest"
I'm excited to announce the launch of a new section on my blog, "Links of Interest." This space is dedicated to sharing web pages that captivate me, allowing me to discuss them in a public forum. I plan to delve into these topics more thoroughly in future articles.
